Blood Lead Testing
- Screening for lead poisoning requires a blood test.
- All children participating in publicly-funded programs (Medi-Cal, WIC, or HeadStart) are required to be screened at 12 months and 24 months for lead poisoning. Ask your child's doctor to order a blood lead test.
